Your iPad and YOU

Talk to your child about their iPad use:

• Ask them how they are using the device for learning.

• Check Canvas and Sapphire regularly to see what and how your child is learning.

• The iPad is not for personal use. Check the camera and delete any personal pictures.

Establish a daily routine:

• Identify times when the iPad will and will not be used.

• Designate a time and place to charge the device. The iPad must come to school fully charged.

• Make bedtime device-free. Place the iPad in a backpack or charging station overnight.

Take care of your iPad every day:

• Use your backpack to carry the device to and from school.

• Keep it in a safe spot—on a desk, table, or countertop—off the floor, away from pets and small children.

• Always use two hands when carrying it.

Follow these guidelines:

• Keep the case on at all times.

• Do not put stickers on the iPad.

• Clean the screen regularly using a soft, lint-free cloth.

• Keep the iPad away from food and drinks.

• Only download apps approved by your teacher or the district.

• Remember: each iPad is assigned to a specific student and should only be used by that student.

The iPad is part of the learning experience—but not the only part.

For just $10 per year, your child’s iPad is fully covered for up to two accidental breaks within the school year. This includes common issues like broken screens or damaged charging ports. The insurance gives families confidence and peace of mind while ensuring students can stay connected to their learning.
