    2023-2024 Sports Information

     

    Physicals good for the entire 2023-2024 school year are scheduled for June 5 and 6, 2023, at no charge to the student athletes. Physical sign ups begin on May 1, 2023. Click on the Athletic Physical Information Tab on the left. All Physical Forms must be performed after June 1, 2023 to qualify for the 2023-2024 school year.

    Fall Sports Information

    The fall sports season begins with practices starting on August 14, 2023. Varsity football heat acclimation practices start August 7, 2023. There must be an athletic physical on record in the athletic office prior to participation. The deadline to turn in the PIAA physical packet for fall sports is Monday, July 31, 2023. Please make a copy of the physical form for your records before turning the original packet in.

    Winter Sports Information

    Any athletic physical dated June 1, 2023 through October 5, 2023 will also need a Parent/Guardian Recertification Form (Section 7) to update the student athlete's health history. If there is a change in health history, section 8 must be completed and signed by a physician.  Recertification forms are due October 24, 2023. The school district will offer medical recertification (Section 8) if needed by our sports medicine physician on October 31, 2023.   The Parent/Guardian (section 7) of the recertification form must be completed and handed in to the athletic trainer, no later than October 24, 2023 for medical recertification (section 8) to take place at the school.  Please do not email the paperwork, hand in the printed and signed original copies. The first day of winter sports practice is November 17, 2023.

    Spring Sports Information

    Any athletic physical dated June 1, 2023 through January 22, 2024 will also need a Parent/Guardian Recertification Form (Section 7) to update the student athlete's health history. If there is a change in health history, section 8 must be completed and signed by a physician. Recertification forms are due February 6, 2024. The school district will offer medical recertification (section 8) if needed by our sports medicine physician on February 13, 2024. The Parent/Guardian (section 7) of the reertification form must be completed and handed in to the athletic trainer, no later than February 6, 2024. Please do not email the paperwork, hand in the printed and signed original copies. The first day of spring practice is March 4, 2024.

     

     2023-2024 school year information necessary for every student athlete involved in participating for Bermudian Springs.

    • The PIAA Comprehensive Initial Pre-Participation Physical Evaluation (CIPPE) is the only form accepted for participation in the Bermudian Springs athletic program.  Please make sure that you have the 2022-2023 copy of the PIAA CIPPE form since there are some additions to the packet. If you plan to see your primary care physician, please take the form with you for the necessary signatures and date.   
    • Athletic physicals may not have been performed prior to June 1, 2023 to be valid for the 2023-2024 school year. 
    • There are many signatures that are needed for the forms to be considered complete. Please make sure that all signatures are completed for both parents (10 signatures) and student athletes (4 signatures).
    • Physicians must sign, date and check the necessary box for clearance for the physical to be valid.
    • Insurance company and policy, group or ID information is needed on the form to be considered complete. If you need to purchase school insurance, it can be purchased from the administration office. 

     PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL YOUR PAPERWORK, HAND IN THE PRINTED PAPERWORK!

    Wrestling assessments will take place November 8, 2023 for middle school wrestlers and November 7, 2023 for high school wrestlers.  They will be conducted in each building's nurse's office starting at 1:00 PM.
