Director of Curriculum

Dr. Ronald Wales
Ronald Wales began his teaching career at Derry Township
School District, where he taught English at both the middle and
high-school levels for over a decade. After moving into
administration, he served as an assistant principal at Gettysburg
High School, a supervisor of secondary curriculum at Boyertown
Area School District, as well as (most recently) the Coordinator of
Instructional Programs at Ephrata Area School District, where he
supervised their alternative education program, their online
learning program, and their K-12 curriculum. Dr. Wales has served on numerous curriculum creation, revision, and alignment
committees throughout his career and has often led
professional learning for curriculum, instruction, and assessment,
K-12. Dr. Wales graduated from Bloomsburg University with a
bachelor’s degree in secondary education with an English
literature concentration. He went on to earn his master’s degree
in educational leadership from Lock Haven University, and he
most recently earned his doctorate in educational leadership
from Wilkes University. His dissertation research focused on
aspects of reasoning and decision-making processes utilized by
school board directors during their deliberations.
