Everyone is affected by the laws that govern our society and everyone is impacted specifically by the legal environment of business whether they are an owner, employee, or consumer. This introduction to business law will highlight the history of and development of Anglo-American law and help students develop an understanding of the legal rights from both the business and consumer perspective. You will learn the agencies responsible for regulation and enforcement; criminal and tort law as applied to business, consumer protection, contracts and sales. This course will be helpful for students going to college or directly into the work force. Learn how to protect yourself from unnecessary litigation.
